Casey Jr. Circus Train: Attraction Spotlight

Casey Jr Circus Train is a classic Fantasyland attraction, inspired by the train Casey Jr from Disney’s animated classic Dumbo. Sharing a footprint and scenery with the Storybook Land Canal Boats, the two attractions playfully interact with each other throughout your journey. Casey Jr takes you through miniaturized versions of many of your favorite classic Disney animated features. While riding on board this train, you’ll even get to experience an “I Think I Can” moment as you go over a hill — just like the scene from Dumbo!

While on board, you’ll see miniaturized sets from the following movies and short films: The Three Little Pigs, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Lullaby Land (a Silly Symphony!), Mr Toad from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Frozen, Pinocchio, and the Little Mermaid. What a tour of Disney animation history in just 4 short minutes!

Seasonal Magic

Looking for a little extra magic? Riding on Casey Jr. during certain holidays will yield even more festive celebration. Disneyland’s magic makers will add little holiday touches for both Halloween time and the Christmas season. Check out your favorite miniature pumpkins and holiday decorations showcased within Casey Jr’s sets.

A COVID note: Sadly, Disney hasn’t consistently brought back all of the holiday decorations after the COVID-closure of 2020-2021. While we are hopeful they will consistently set them all out in the future, they may not be out for your visit.

Next Stop: Storybook Land

Ride the rails aboard a festive circus train pulled by brave little engine Casey Jr.—from the classic Disney animated movie Dumbo. Wend your way over happy hills and through verdant valleys to behold familiar dwellings and villages—amazingly rendered in miniature scale. 

Along the way, Casey Jr. faces his biggest challenge: an impossible hill. We think he can make it—do you think he can?

Casey Jr. Circus Train features many of the same sights as Storybook Land Canal Boats, but from a higher vantage point.

Casey Jr. is a CLASSIC! I love seeing all of the miniature tributes to Walt’s classic animated work — with a few modern classics added in. Riding inside the monkey cages is a favorite childhood memory for me — even though today I do tend to favor riding in the rear-facing row in the caboose these days.

Casey Jr. is a very occasional ride for me… but only because it shares sets with Storybook Land Canal Boats, which is one of my favorite attractions. While Casey Jr. usually has a shorter wait, I love the live narration and being down closer to the miniatures that Storybook Land offers.
