Mr Toad’s Wild Ride: Attraction Spotlight
Fast Facts
Location: Fantasyland, Disneyland
Opening Date: July 17, 1955
Height requirement: None
Who it’s for: Anyone interested in a wild ride!
Ride Length: 2 minutes
Fun Fact: Technically, Mr Toad’s is the only “ride” in Disneyland — none of the other attractions contain the word “ride” in their name.
Mr Toad’s Wild Ride puts you behind the wheel of Mr Toad’s car. You’ll drive thru his story as originally told in the Disney animated film The Wind in the Willows. Mr Toad is a successful attorney who has a nasty habit of “mad motoring”, which often gets him into trouble. You’re going to see a lot on this ride: you’ll drive thru a tavern, destroy a downtown area, get sentenced to jail, get hit by a train, and find yourself in Hell.
Mr Toad’s Wild Ride is definitely worth riding while you’re at Disneyland. Anaheim is the only place you will find this ride. There was formerly a version of this ride in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, but it was removed in the late 90’s to make way for the Winnie the Pooh ride.

The Official Word
If you’re interested in the official spiel, here’s how Disney’s site describes the attraction:
Toad Rage
Enter the lavish English manor house known as Toad Hall and hop into a 2-person, open-air buggy.
Skid past teetering stacks of books in the library and barrel through a fireplace—before hurtling into a formal dining room. Careen through a wall-sized window and race past a riverbank, narrowly missing a flock of sheep.
While avoiding a platoon of policemen, crash through scaffolding, splatter a stack of pies, smash crates and ignite a fiery explosion—but look out for that train!
Will you escape trial for your trail of destruction? Or is something even more devilish in store?

Lizzie’s Take
Randy’s Take
Mr Toad’s is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland, as it features all of the classic whimsy of Disney. This ride features a great number of scenes and every corner oozes classic Disneyland. This is one of those attractions you can only experience in Anaheim and it’s 100% worth the (usually not too long) wait.
And there’s a statue of Mr Toad in the queue that I definitely have a habit of taking fun pictures with!
