Why I love the HoJo Anaheim

As a local to Disneyland I don’t find myself staying at the hotels nearby too often. When I do find myself looking for a place to stay near the parks, I regularly pick the Howard Johnson Anaheim! (often referred to as HoJo Anaheim)

I’ve come to love this property over the years and find myself recommending it to so many people. Here’s why it’s one of my favorites:

Disney themed rooms (that look out at the parks!)

In Building 1 and 2 at the HoJo Anaheim they’ve renovated their rooms to have a fun Disney theme. These updated rooms have a lot of fun touches of Disney flair that make it a fun and whimsical place to stay. And there are some rooms that look out at Disneyland, make sure to select Park View when booking.

Walking distance to the Disneyland Resort

The HoJo Anaheim is an 8 minute walk to the Disneyland Resort. This location is great as it is one of the closest off property hotels in the area!

If you’re looking for a great swimming option, the HoJo Anaheim has a great waterpark on property called Castaway Cove. It’s very family friendly and can provide hours of fun for your family. And if you’re looking for a regular pool, they have the Garden Pool area which provides a more relaxing pool experience.

New House of the Retro Future Suite

The new House of the Retro Future Suite is available for booking on the Howard Johnson Anaheim website. It’s a blend of the classic design elements of the 1960’s with some touches of today. This suite was inspired by the House of the Future walk-through attraction developed by Monsanto and M.I.T.! It’s a great space if you’re looking for something fun and different for your next vacation.
