Where to Stay: Tokyo Disneyland

Thinking about booking a vacation to Tokyo Disney but don’t know where to stay? There are thankfully some great options with their official Disney hotels and partner hotels.

Your first option is to stay on at one of the Tokyo Disney official hotels and book a package that includes your theme park tickets. (From time to time, you may be able to find a good deal through Expedia for the room only if you plan to purchase tickets separately.)

Your second option is to book a nearby hotel and purchase tickets separately. I personally recommend buying your tickets from Klook as they will come preloaded with your park reservation and you can skip the ticket booth lines at the park. They currently have tickets to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea which can be purchased here.

When I book for my travel clients that want to stay near Tokyo Disneyland I always recommend to stay at a hotel with access to the monorail loop. Having this easy access to the monorail will get you to the parks quickly. Plus they have fun themes on their monorails so they are fun to ride!

Hilton Tokyo Bay

The Hilton Tokyo Bay is my personal top choice for staying close to Tokyo Disney. Bayside Station is across the street, and Maihama Station trains to Tokyo are two kilometers away. (They have a free shuttle to reach both.) The hotel offers fairytale-themed rooms, Mount Fuji views, a Disney Store, and a 24-hour market. Plus they have indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and fitness center. Overall, we found this was a great option that has easy access to the parks and came with great amenities. If you have preference to Hilton branded hotels then this would be my recommendation.

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel is another one of Tokyo Disney Resort’s Official Hotels. It’s location offers access to the monorail that runs to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. They offer a free shuttle to and from the monorail, a full fitness center, Japanese-style baths and four restaurants. Their rooms offer views of Tokyo Bay or the Tokyo Disney resort. I recommend this option to clients who have preference to Marriott branded hotels.

Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort

The Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort is walking distance to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea which is a huge perk to staying at this particular property. The resort also features a grocery/convenience store, shopping on site, and a garden. They also have 3 restaurants onsite.

Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel

Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel is located near the monorail with access to the parks. They run a free shuttle to the monorail station and train station. A roundtrip airport shuttle is also offered for a fee for those that need to get to and from the airport. This hotel offers free in-room WiFi which is great for staying connected during your trip!

Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama

Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama is located a short walk from both theme parks and the monorail loop. They provide a shuttle to and from the airport for an extra fee as well. Guests get free in-room WiFi and have access to the buffet restauratn, coffee shop, cafe, and bar.

Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay

Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay is another one of Tokyo Disney Resort’s official hotels. This hotel is a popular choice for many Japanese guests visiting the resort. It has amenities such as spa services, free in-room WiFi, a hair salon, laundry services, and 4 onsite restaurants.

Overall, planning a trip to the Tokyo Disney Resort can be exciting! You’ll truly love the unique touches that only Tokyo Disney has when comparing their parks to other Disney parks around the world.
